She transitioned into real estate after her hospitality tenures, creating a commercial real estate consultancy specializing in luxury hospitality/residential assets and developments. Her extensive network of investors, developers, and hospitality brands and management companies resulted in hotel and residential projects across the United States.
Trica is the founder of Morgensheer Hospitality, Inc., a New York-based Consortium of seasoned Hospitality, Real Estate, Valuation, Turnaround / Operations / Management, Advisors, representing the development and capital markets operating as one entity. She established the company in 2013 after a quarter century in the hospitality industry. Morgensheer’s team members’ experience includes tenures and consultancies at some of the world’s leading hotel brands and resorts, international destinations and hospitality management firms and financial institutions such as: Benchmark Hospitality, Brussels Tourism, Dolce International, Doral Hotels & Resorts, Dubai Tourism Authority, Gansevoort Hotel Group, Goldman Sachs, Jumeirah Hotels, Kempinski, Le Meridien, Le Parker Meridien, Rocco Forte Hotels & Resorts, Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, Scotland Business Tourism, Starwood Hotels and W Hotels.
Prior to launching a second career in real estate; specializing in hospitality acquisition and development, Trica held in-house communications positions at leading hotel brands such as Doral Hotels & Resorts, Le Parker Meridien, and Cendant Corporation (now Wyndham Hotels). She founded the award-winning Trica Jean-Baptiste Communications, Inc., a New York-based boutique public relations agency specializing in travel and tourism. During the agency’s 15-year tenure, it represented some of the most revered travel, tourism, and hospitality brands in the world including: Rosewood’s Caneel Bay, Little Dix Bay, and Martineau Bay Resorts, Rocco Forte Hotels & Resorts (Berlin, Brussels, Edinburgh, Florence, Frankfurt, London, Munich, Rome, St. Petersburg, Russia); The Scottish Business Tourism Unit, Brussels tourism, the government of Dubai Tourism Authority.
